[Losing Shiro without getting an idea where Shiro had disappeared to back home is hard. Having to explain it is even harder. Somehow, he worries less about Pidge than Shiro. But then, is that really so surprising?]
I'll be fine.
They'll both somewhere, right? Somewhere tangible?
It could be worse.
[He is trying to convince himself to some degree, but still.]
[ he remembers listening to pidge's rambles about all the work she'd done with her other team while she was away from them, and he tries to find comfort in that. they're still out there, doing good, and he tries to make that dull the sting of missing them. ]
[It's a short, succinct answer, all caused by the fact that Keith suddenly feels suffocated by Shiro's words. I want you to lead Voltron. Even here, that belief remained.
The thing is, Keith knows he's changed, both as a paladin and a member of this team.
But that's part of the problem. And the longer he keeps that smothering fear from Lance, the worse he fears it'll be when it comes out.]
[ well. it's definitely not a no, and considering who he's talking to, that's pretty much an invitation. still, lance isn't entirely sure how open that door is, so he thinks maybe nudging it open a little further with his foot, without outright barging in will do just fine for now. ]
well im by the lake trying to feed the kraken so if you ever decide ill probably be here for a while
ill be fine! its like if pidge fell into a pile of math ok thats not a great analogy but you get what i mean though i guess the waters a little colder than im used to not to mention the actual kraken but it probably wont STILL be hungry right
